$1-2 K10s
How did I do here?
I felt like I should raise this PF, and take the free card... is this incorrect or should I have fired one on the turn? Any other mistakes you can spot? Re: $1-2 K10s
sounds pretty good except.. this is a fairly small pot... call the bet fold the turn : / unless he bets into you giving you 1 to 6 odds ...with 2 overs u can call again then river obvious fold

Re: $1-2 K10s
I'm assuming you didn't have any reads on MP1 or BB.
Personally I think you played well. With no action other than the poster before you on the flop it's a good enough hand to go for the steal, but a read would have helped. What was the intention of your flop raise? I think taking the free card on the turn was the right move, as was folding the river. You really couldn't even put BB on a range with the way this hand played out so playing blind with K high is not a good way to win the hand. |

Re: $1-2 K10s
I'd just call the flop with your overcards and backdoor draws.
Unless a [img]/images/graemlins/club.gif[/img], K, Q, J, or T comes on the turn check/fold. |

Re: $1-2 K10s
Firstly, in my little experience I have found habitually raising for a free card in the wrong spots can be quite taxing, it is a great play against passive players but can eventually add up when mis-used. I would be nearly tempted to just dump this hand now, but generally I find myself peeling but folding turn UI.
Pre-flop is perfect. |

Re: $1-2 K10s
The flop raise is really awful. You do realize that we don't have the best hand? We don't even have a strong hand. We have a weak draw and there is no reason to raise for a free card or to clean up outs.
The flop is maybe a call. Maybe. People who think this flop call is automatic need to start counting their outs more carefully. What do you need for 6 outs? Just under 7:1? Well, that's exactly what we are getting on flop. Granted, there may be an extra out of leverage in out backdoor draws, but after we discount our outs based on the possibility of villain having a king or ten, we start needing implied odds to make the flop call profitable. |

Re: $1-2 K10s
So we don't try free card plays with overcards/BDF draws huh?
