villain in the bb with 329

Villain sees me as loose agressive but we havent played many hands together
5 10 nl
Im on the button everybody folds before me

Raise 37$ sb fold bb calls

Flop:

I bet 45$ bb calls

Turn
8 [img]/images/graemlins/spade.gif[/img]

i bet 87$ he raise to 175$ i call

river: k [img]/images/graemlins/heart.gif[/img]

he bets 160 i push for 405 more

is river seemed to be as a defensive bet and i thought there was value on raise

Oh the BB owned you in this one. I think he put his chips in and then slyly pulled them back when no one was looking. Then he used the same chips to bet you on the next street. Very good strat

Why are you betting $87 on the turn with a 5 high flush? Just asking to get picked off.

Please refer to your math in regards to his chip stack and the bets made. Would love to know where he gets these extra chips!

This might be a reason for him to put out a blocking bet on the river and hope for a raise by you. I could not see the stack sizes in the OP but I'll assume he had you covered.

I think just calling sounds good here with the small flush. If he had trips he probably would have raised on the flop and w / 2 pair he might have just check called your turn bet. A straight is possible but it looks like like your flush is quite possibly beaten. I do not think that his river bet / turn play make a higher flush unlikely.

i really screwed up my post he check raised turn

its 2 bad cause i really wanted more info how to play this hand it really seems like i screwed up

he check raises the flush card and then leads the river? he's either bluffing, or he's not... and you're only beating one of those. just call. (outside chance of QT but i highly doubt it).
