When I got to college I'd never drank before. Didn't like the idea, it took a combination of friends offering it, drinking it, and being nice about it... AND also it just took time to loosen up to my good friend alcohol.

i was straight edge when i went to ucsb. things have changed...i remember my first time being pressured to smoke weed.

Yes, this is a much more approachable way for a first timer, especially one who doesn't or hasn't ever smoked cigs.

Pot is completely harmless! It is no worse then sitting down and drinking a 6 pack for some a 12 pack and in 2 hours or so your sober.

I was a major stoner for years but always recreational. Not once did I ever need to smoke. Sure I thought I wanna get stoned but never the addiction I get when I need a cig.

If fact I am in the middle of a job change and havent touched it in almost 3 months. From what I understand I might not be able to smoke again due to random drug testing

I can live with it.

So if he wants he want to if not well one less life experiance

Also, if dustins objection to weed is that he thinks he wouldnt be able to control it and it would become something that would have too big an impact on his life, then you shouldnt try to get him to smoke it. Leave the man be

I've only ever had one friend that I "convinced" to smoke pot. He'd always been very, very, smart, but once he started doing drugs the creative side of him really flourished. He went from tightass genius type to eccentric genius type, which is FAR more fun and interesting.

Horrible advice. You need to use so much more weed and it takes longer to get high when you cook with it. If you want to simply get high smoke a bowl out of a pipe, bubbler, bong for efficiency.
