Waterworld > Robin Hood > Postman

Also, no mention of Fandango yet?

With the possible exception of Tin Cup, it was all downhill after The Bodyguard.

If you haven't seen it, see "The Upside of Anger," a small movie he was in last year in which he was terrific. He was on top of the world after Dance With Wolves and didn't sustain it. But I liked him in Field of Dreams, No Way Out, The Untouchables, Bull Durham, and JFK. That's not a terrible resume.

Second that on Upside of Anger. Dances With Wolves is a top movie. Don't understand what you have against Costner.

Bull Durham
Tin Cup
For Love of the Game
No Way Out
Silverado
Field of Dreams
JFK
The Untouchables

He has been in too many good movies to bash his career. The crappy ones keep him from being top rated, but I think he deserves a 7 or 8.

I went with a "6". He has a lot of 10's, but also a lot of 1's, so I went with the average.

I bumped him from a 5 -> 6 for masturbating in front of a massuese on his honeymoon.

Robin Hood was one of the best movies of its year, I still love that movie. Dances with Wolves was great. Tin Cup great. Field of dreams good. Postman good. Waterworld eh. JFK real good. I give him an 8. I think he just has a tendency to overdo it, especially when the role is alittle different that his norm.

Kevin Costner is a certifiable megastar with a resume that spans more than 20 years. There have undoubtedly been some crappy movies mixed in with Fandango, Silverado, The Untouchables, Bull Durham, Field of Dreams, Dances with Wolves, JFK, The Bodyguard, Tin Cup, etc etc etc, but from a career standpoint he's stellar. I think people are voting based on what they personally feel about him and his acting, which isn't the question.

Solid 9.

I agree with this reasoning. All movie stars have bad flops.

Forgot about the Untouchables. Not a fan of the other two.

If you don't like Field of Dreams, then you must hate America. For serious.
