How silly. They don't have enough players for 4/8 and 9/18 and now they think that adding a 3rd limit in that range is good? LOL.

Foxwoods management = doom. Not surprising yet unfortunate.

I played the 9-18 on Tuesday night...

The button raised, small blind folded, big blind defended, and the dealer promptly removed $4 for rake. I called the floor over and was told the rake was now a straight 10%, instead of what the plaque says. IMO, having the highest rake in Vegas, at these limits, is not a strong selling point.

Charging a higher rake than the plaque says is a gaming violation. I'm surprised they didn't change the sign, even if they just taped a handwritten replacement over it.

You guys are on crack. 6/12 is normally a 2 chip /4 chip game. WTF is the difference between 1white+1red/2white+2red vs 2 threes/4threes? Its still the same exact structure.

You do realize that 6/12 is not played with all dollars like 4/8 right? They haven't changed anything except using one denomination instead of 2. The same "amount" of chips are in the pots regardless.

edit: quick reply used, was not replying to Way

I'm still trying to figure out where to play. Venetian $3/$6 games sound good, at $2/hr comp, unless it becomes a rock garden like many of the low limit games out here. Poker at the Old Folks Home. I'm trying to play/build my bankroll and $4/8 is a bit outside where I'm comfortable.

I like Kathy Raymond, and she's promising a silk jacket with the logo on the back for players who work the graveyard. She's trying, guys. She was at the Wed Poker Discussion Group last week, asking for suggestions and showing interest in us locals. How about cutting her a little slack and see where she gets the room, huh?

Go to California. 6/12 is usually played with $2 chips.

That's nice, but it's usually played with red/white combo in Vegas, making it a 2 chip/4 chip game.

Photoc that hole in your neck is speaking!

6/12 is a red & white game ONLY in CASINOs....go to a POKER ROOM. Like California. This town has never been able to have decent 6/12 - 10/20 for the simple reason of chip denomination. Managements in LV refuse to believe that there are those in this world that know the "business" of poker better than they. Yet for over 100 years poker was the ONLY legal game in town in places like California, Washington, etc. These places didnt have slot machines, table games, & shows to attract customers. Go to any 12-40 table poker room in California (NOT IN A CASINO) and you'll find no less than 2 6-12 games with a list almost 24/7. Rammin & jammin games too. If LV knew how much rake was lost due to haveing to make change every hand it would astound them. Then if they knew how much rake they lost to smaller pots because of the visual effect of fewer chips they'd fire every poker room manager in this town that used $5 & $1's or spread a $10-20 at all instead of a $9-18 using threes.

Photoc, go to the doctor and get that whole in the side of your neck you talking out of plugged.

Regards.

I'm totally confused. You agreed with my post about using red and white chips only yet you tell me I'm wrong? I just think people complaining over a 2 chip/4chip vs the same thing with different denomination chips is rediculous.

Haha, you compare LA to Vegas. 10 million people vs 1 million people and the CHIPS are the reason no one plays the games? How about we have 200k tourists in town that want to play 2/4 all the time instead of having a base of players that want to play higher games? That is something that cannot be controlled. Go to most off strip rooms. The locals ASK for the lowest game in the house...why, so they can jackpot/freeroll chase.
