Nice turn and river card. The poker gods must love you.

I think this whole hand is standard. NH.

A simple read can change everything though.

I don't like the flop 3-bet. The way you played it I fold the river. The only hand that I can conceive of him having that you beat is an overplayed busted diamond draw.

I agree with you and alobar after further review. So from now on in situations like this bet call flop and call down? or fold to river?

Call down unless you have a strong read. If he is bluffing let him continue.

i like the flop 3bet. he's probably not folding a ten or nine so you get more value out of those, especially when they often check the river. You also let him cap a draw on the flop or a worse hand.

Also, although a lot of guys will followup on the turn with a draw, some would take a free card.

Thats why Im not a fan of the 3 bet. Most people unless they are uber maniacs arent capping here with a worse hand unless its a draw. And I disagree that they follow through on the turn. I think when your typical player caps the flop with a draw they check behind on the turn a majority of the time, but when you dont 3 bet, they bet the turn almost all the time. On this board as well, lots of draws will fire a 3rd barrell hoping you were on a draw as well because there are so many of them and uve just been calling.

I`d also 3bet the flop here . C/r turn may be good too unless villain loves the free card play.
I feel that the frequency of "dont 3-bet" replies is results oriented.
Didn`t you promise to post reads?

Keep in mind this is a blind battle not normal positional play. In my experience, blind battles end up capping flop alot with a wide range of hands on a wide range of flops. I am thinking i should fold the river here. But when i cap flop, and then fold the river , particularly blind battles, I think it shows me as a monkey, and if i bet call instead of cap flop then I give him to much freedom and control of me for future battles.
