I \"won\" a trip to Tunica??
I registered online at the wintunica website(hope it's ok to list it by name, if not a mod can edit) for the free trip to Tunica and apparently won. Has anyone else here signed up for it and won? I'm wondering if everybody who signs up "wins", like those fitness clubs giveaways. They say the casino hotel room and flight is included.
I'm wondering how legit this is and if it's going to cost me money (besides gambling and food). They did ask for my address, telephone number, and date of birth before they would Fed-Ex the package. I'm a internet player and the only casino I've been to is Harrah's Cherokee and have never signed up for a contest like this before, so I really dont have a clue about it. Any input is appreciated. |

Naah, Googling is actually a better first impulse than mine. Site's probably too new to show up in Google, which might indicate something about its respectability.

Re: I \"won\" a trip to Tunica??
If something seems too good to be true I always check my wallet.
But since you didn't provide SS#, CC#s (I hope) or bank account #s my guess is they're just selling your name, address and phone number to a marketing agency. A pretty benign scam - though you might now be on the list of "easy prey". Watch out for future "too good to be true" offers - they might get more sofisticated. |

Re: I \"won\" a trip to Tunica??
I didnt give them any finacial information. I was thinking that about a marketing agency sell/scam too. Anyways I'll let you guys know in a few days when the package gets here. They said Fed-Ex so if it's not here in 3-4 days I'll let y'all know that too.

Re: I \"won\" a trip to Tunica??
Well, one would think if it was a true scam, they'd be promising trips to Hawaii, or at least Vegas, rather than Tunica.

HeroInBlack, congratulations on having the 9th post in this thread.
You've won a Prize Package that includes a Trip to Georgia, you can be sure that this is indeed real, because it's not a trip to Hawaii or Las Vegas, but Georgia. Just send me your bank account information so we can verify your address. |
