Default I wanna throw up...

Villain is a 40/20 LAG who overplays hands postflop. Open raised AK from the CO, got c/r'ed on a low flop UI and 3bet, then bet the turn and checked through the riv.

I'm pretty sure there's plenty of value in a river bet when checked to vs. this guy. He's played it like a monster with the turn sexy which includes a bunch of sets and 2pair hands that would easily call one more. He's obviously not a maniac though, so how often am I chopping or winning vs. this checkraise?

Normally I'd agree but he's a LAG who is representing a monster with his line that just got scared of the straight. Don't you think 2-pair and sets are calling this day and night?

I think there is value in betting this; I would imagine you get crying calls from sets and KQ. The real issue is that there is almost no chance he is raising any of these hands on the river unless he is LAGtarded. So...wtf to do now that raised? Can you fold? I couldn't fold this against a lag.

ton of value in betting the river. his turn checkraise makes me think 2 pair is a good bit more likely than a hand w/an ace in it here.

and i pay off his checkraise.

wrong. worse hands definitely call here, two pairs and sets, u couldve had a busted draw etc etc, and people do some crazy things in blind battles (not calling this river w/ a respectable hand (two pair or above) hopefully not one of them)

I like every street, call the river raise. You made a very good value bet on the river given the way this hand played out. I wouldnt worry about the results. NH
