BTW, for dessert there are a lot of ways to take a premade dessert and make it look amazing. For instance, you can get a chocolate torte or cheesecake from the grocery store. The chocolate ganache at Trader Joe's is really good. Then I get a very good jar of chocolate sauce. I like Scharffen Berger or the Whole Foods store brand is good. I warm the sauce up in the microwave and then when I put each slice on the plate I take a knife dip it into the warm sauce and just wave it back and forth over the slice drizzling it onto the plate and over the slice in a haphazard striped pattern. To go way over the top take a strawberry and cut it in slices from the bottom almost to the top but not all the way, don't cut through the strawberry top, then you can fan the strawberry open and put it on the side for garnish. It's really almost zero work with a big WOW effect.
