Approximately what percentage of your solutions to life problems involve a firearm, with a handle & location like that?

I'd imagine there might be something you can put on the skin where the scabs were to reduce the chance of scarring. (Something like what Neosporin does for cuts.)

How do you effectively tear them off? I remember trying repeatedly to do this for a long time when I had a wart on my thumb and it kept [censored] coming back. I just resolved to ignore it and it went away in a month or two.

I have these Neosporin "Scar Solution" silicone sheets that are designed to be stuck directly on the scar (or the newly healed wound that you're trying to prevent from scarring). Some of the skin is still somewhat raw, though, and the instructions say, "This product is not sterile and does not contain antibiotics. Do not use on open wounds or unhealed skin." So, I think I'm going to apply regular Neosporin tonight, and then use these sheets instead as soon as the skin looks like it's not raw at all anymore.

A lot fewer than were possible in Grandpa's day, I must admit. Things have gotten precious, even here. "He needed a killin" is no longer a sufficient defense in court, though the rationale is still widely understood. So its mostly limited to procuring game, supressing vermin, and taking responsibility for one's own security.
