$11 - 1st Hand. Do you dance?
What would induce you to play this hand further or would you consider calling the PF raise to begin with?

Re: $11 - 1st Hand. Do you dance?
fold pf
if you limp in fold to raise as played I would bet half the pot on the flop or push if I was hammered |

Re: $11 - 1st Hand. Do you dance?
You are probably a 45/55 dog against pf raiser. Even if he has KK you win 1/3 of the time. I'd consider re-raising all-in on this flop b/c of the dead money. Of course I definitely wouldn't have called the pf raise and I very likely wouldn't have open-limped either.

Re: $11 - 1st Hand. Do you dance?
Folding PF is the default play here to be sure. Just frisky and not hammered (yet).
So.... Here we go with some of the rest of the story: PartyPoker $11 Speed Tournament, Big Blind is t40 (10 handed) Converter on pregopoker.com UTG (t2000) Hero (t2000) MP1 (t2000) MP2 (t2000) MP3 (t2000) CO+1 (t2000) CO (t2000) Button (t2000) SB (t2000) BB (t2000) Preflop: Hero is in UTG+1 with J[img]/images/graemlins/diamond.gif[/img] A[img]/images/graemlins/diamond.gif[/img] UTG folds, Hero calls t40, MP1 calls t40, MP2 folds, MP3 calls t40, CO+1 folds, CO folds, Button folds, SB raises to t105, BB folds, Hero calls t85, MP1 calls t85, MP3 calls t85 Flop: (t540) 3[img]/images/graemlins/club.gif[/img] Q[img]/images/graemlins/diamond.gif[/img] K[img]/images/graemlins/diamond.gif[/img] (4 players) SB checks, Hero? |

Re: $11 - 1st Hand. Do you dance?
I fold preflop mostly if I have a hand like that in EP the first hand of the game. If I play it, I'd open raise it.
As you played it to this point, I'd probably check/push that flop. If it gets checked around again, push most turns. |

All your outs probably arent clean because of the two villians' full house possibilities, so say youre about 35 - 40% to triple up (these #s are off the top of my head, so someone please correct me if Im off). Re: $11 - 1st Hand. Do you dance?
I would not fold PF unless you are not comfortable OOP here. There's definitely some value to limping in and playing with a strong ace vs. donks who will play any kinds of aces.
On the flop, you have 12 outs to the nuts vs. 2 others. It's a call in a cash game, so it's a call here. You have at least 33% equity vs. a set and two pair/TPTK hand. http://twodimes.net/poker/?g=h&b=Kd+...+Jd%0D%0AQh+Qc |

If the board pairs on the river, your nuts could be crushed, and we all know how painful that would be (buhdumpbum). Aside from that, I call anyway. |
