Re: At Commerce this weekend
how is the 9/18? How many tables are typically running? The few times I've played live its been 4/8 or 6/12, the 6/12 at the Bike.

Re: At Commerce this weekend
I should be there Sunday, probably at 9/18.
Edit: Bnortho, I've only played the 9/18 once so probably not a good judge, but from what I hear and from the table I played it's probably comparable to 2/4 online, maybe softer? |

Re: At Commerce this weekend
You do know that the Commerce 5/10 blind game is $400 min/max buy in right?

[/ QUOTE ] on friday nights they have like 9 tables running. some games can be tight and thats when you simply just table change. but generally the sh1t is wild. i try to scout out the loosest, most agressive games with the biggest pots. i love variance and i love monster ginormus pots. all the maniacs and retards come out on friday nights. 8 to the flop for 4 bets, its crazy. you have to adjust though, a lot of dum fugs will donkey raise the turn and/or the river, and you have to be able to make some sick call downs. the 9/18 isn't for the faint of heart though, thousand dollar swings aren't uncommon. if you have the bankroll, this is the game to be in. however, i have heard same things about the 20/40 also |

Re: At Commerce this weekend
They never really spread anything higher than 6/12 kill at morongo, right? Actually all I've seen is 4/8 and that's only on friday or saturday prime time.
Any other rooms that spread decent limits that you go to? |

I feel horrible for the 2+2er I sat next to at the $9-18 last night. Mega bad suckouts for him. I took a couple decent suckouts, but stayed ahead the whole night due to excessive flopping of sets. Either way, the players were bad. Even the influx of tourney donks didn't ruin the games. |

"a lot of dum fugs will donkey raise the turn and/or the river"
I guess I must fold too much, but I doubt it. "and you have to be able to make some sick call downs" In the 9-18 you have the opportunity to laydown almost every second best hand you make. You can showdown a loser after putting in a river bet under two times per session, easily. And that's if you're not playing your best. -Michael |
