Mirage super sattelite
I played in the $1570 super at the Mirage yesterday afternoon and struck out. Oh well, I will try again today. The structure for these is actually decent. 40 minute levels beginning with 25-50 and 3,000 starting chips. I have played in much worse structures.
Anyway, in the first orbit I am UTG +1 and get two black aces. UTG limps and I make it 200. Only UTG calls and the flop comes AK7 rainbow. UTG bets 300 into me and I call. Turn is a Q and UTG bets 500 and I make it 1,000 and he calls. The river comes 7 pairing the board and UTG moves al in for his last 1,500 and shows A7. Too bad for him because I probably go broke there as well. I won't detail the bad beats that I suffered to exit the tournament. I just hope I am getting those out of my system before Sunday. I play so little poker these days (two young daughters and a job) that it is nice sitting down and playing. I get that "I am home" feeling when the cards are first dealt. Temp |
