hmm, i always put my thumb on the one side, then use my middle finger to unhook it using the same motion i would use to open a soda can, only horizontally.
actually, we might be talking about the same technique

Gorie - in my experience, it's usually been a back hook. But now that I think about it - wouldn't it be easier, for the girl, if it's a front hook?

this really sadly is hte trick for many guys.

chaos:

basically if you've never seen what the hook looks like yo'ure in trouble. once you see one, you'll basically have it figured out. if a girl's wearing something odd, she'll be glad to help you figure it out. but standard front clasps and back clasps, once you see one, and like, look at it, you'll be fine. basically usually 2 or 3 hooks in a row, under a fair amount of pressure. so anyway, you don't have to do anything "to the hooks" by yourself. if you use say, your left middle finger to hold the back of the bra on the far side of her body in place, and you left thumb to push the near side towards the thumb (ala, snapping your fingers) the hooks will move out of their eyelets, and the bra will come off.
