You will be using taxi's after the first day.

What is with you young people these days that you can't walk a mile or two? Why, back when I was young, I had to walk 3 miles each way barefoot in a snow storm uphill both directions to and from skewl. Walking the strip is hardly a major issue.

Buy a monorail pass and you can buzz up and down the Strip to your heart's content. If I was going to play poker I would probably do it this way; if I am wandering around gambling and drinking, on foot is much better. There are nice air-conditioned casinos every few hundred yards, plus various street-side bars and such to help refresh. The walk up the Aladdin/Paris/Harrah's/IP/Venetian side of the strip is actually pretty fun if you are doing the drinking tour.

I would say Wynn is about a 20 minute walk from Bellagio, possibly 15 depending how fast you walk.

[/ QUOTE ]

have you ever been to vegas?

this is a 45 min to 1 hour walk minimum, don't forget there's plenty of walking traffic, stop lights, [censored] drivers, it's a nightmare of a walk unless your walking at 4am

Ok, here is the definitive answer. I am a pro at this as I have stayed at IP, Flamingo, Ballys, and Aladdin on many occasions and am the master of late night drunken suckouts at Bellagio or Mirage...most recently to the tune of +$1650 in 9 hours at Mirage $10-20 and immeasureable +ev in excessive drinking, grabbing a hookers ass, and chowing down at 6:30am at Victoria Room at Barbary Coast. Oh yeah, I'm fat. Though not exactly lazy.

From the entrance of Flamingo(and you will be using different entrances) walk to all of the following with poker rooms:

Imperial Palace is 3 minutes.
Harrahs is 5 minutes.
Mirage is 7-10 minutes depending on the traffic signal.
Treasure Island is 10-15 minutes going through Mirage
Venetian is 10-15 minutes but you can walk through Harrahs and Casino Royale thereby negating negative effects of the heat.
Wynn....you should really cab. The walk is ~ 30 minutes.

The other direction....Ceasars is a five minute walk. So is Bellagio and Ballys. Aladdin is 10 minutes. MGM you should cab. Or its a 30 minute walk. Anywhere else you should cab.

For speed and convenience, do your walking on the west side of the Strip (Bellagio, Caesars', Mirage). This allows you to avoid the congestion at Harrah's.

Flamingo to craps table at Casino Royale is about 6 minutes. Casino Royale to Flamingo is about 25 minutes.

Objects in Vegas appear closer than they are.

[/ QUOTE ] This is so true. I was ceasars and could see the wynn from my hotel room. Second day in Vegas I decide to take a short walk over to the Wynn. I figured 10-15 minute stroll. Yeah right. I must of walked about 25-30 minutes moving at a fast pace( I always walk fast). Its not so bad in the day because vegas has a lot of cool site seeing. At night when I left we took a cab back it was only like 7$. One reason for the cab was that at the table I was sitting at there was a guy there that got jumped and robbed on his way up the strip a few nights earlier. He had a black eye and his face was messed up a little. From converstation I took him to be a local. He said that he thought it was a gang that jumped him.

It used to take me about 45 minutes from The Ho to MGM, so I don't know how the hell it can take 45 mins to an hour to get from Bellagio to Wynn.
