grocery stores? and there are jobs that pay reasonably perhaps.

hair dressing/beauty salons (income definitely limited, unless you ran a salon)don't rate to find many men you want to befriend.

government offices of almost any type

I work at a company that performs HR outsourcing services. I am also a techie (Network Engineer), but the company as a whole is 75% female (no exaggeration).
