Default Here\'s a doozy, 77 - PP NL100 6max

No solid reads on villain at the time other than he sees too many flops. I haven't seen anything criminally stupid at this point.

Party Poker No-Limit Hold'em, $ BB (6 handed) Hand History Converter Tool from FlopTurnRiver.com (Format: 2+2 Forums)

BB ($12.37)
Hero ($114.80)
MP ($71.99)
CO ($25.15)
Button ($42.25)
SB ($168.39)

Preflop: Hero is UTG with 7[img]/images/graemlins/heart.gif[/img], 7[img]/images/graemlins/spade.gif[/img]. SB posts a blind of $0.50.
Hero calls $1, MP calls $1, CO calls $1, Button raises to $5, 2 folds, Hero calls $4, MP calls $4, CO folds.

Flop: ($17.50) Q[img]/images/graemlins/diamond.gif[/img], 2[img]/images/graemlins/spade.gif[/img], 4[img]/images/graemlins/spade.gif[/img] (3 players)
Hero checks, MP checks, Button checks.

Turn: ($17.50) 9[img]/images/graemlins/diamond.gif[/img] (3 players)
Hero bets $10, MP calls $10, Button folds.

I'm thinking my hand is best....not sure after i'm called.

River: ($37.50) 7[img]/images/graemlins/diamond.gif[/img] (2 players)
Hero bets $25, MP calls $56.99 (All-In), Hero calls $31.99.

Yahtzee! The only catch is that now a flush is possible, but his stack size and the pot size make blockers problematic. I thought my hand was too good to check or even fold...just not fearing the runner runner flush that much. Thoughts?

Final Pot: $151.48

I would have bet on the flop. Other than that its a nice hand.

I think leading out this flop is bad. We have 2 people left to act, including the PFR.

I think if we are going to bet the turn, we should make it more like $15. $10 looks a little weak IMO, and we may get over cards floating and FD's are def coming for the ride at this price.

On the river, I really don't know. What worse hands is he pushing here? I get the sinking feeling we are up against runner runner here, but as played I don't think I fold to his push getting ~3:1.

I guess it's a tough spot. If he has the flush, he gets my money. Stack sizes really don't give you too much latitude here, so yeh, pay him off on the river.

I play this the same way, but probably bet only $20 on the river.

What hand are you putting MP on though?
Overpairs definitely bet the flop, Qx probably raises the turn with all the possible draws....

So what the hell does he have? any thinking player should know that he's got about -0- fold equity with his push on the river.

I'm starting to think I might be able to find a fold here.

there is a flush draw out there, so if this were me playing i would (at the time of my first action on river) not want to be getting AI here. I dont think someone calling 10 on that turn is gonna fold for 25 on that river, because 2 spades folds, 2 diamonds deletes you, and a Q with a questionable kicker (which i think might call that 10, especially with position) will prolly fold as well. Check. He will either check behind in which case you might win an ok sized pot, or you lose, but dont lose extra money. Or he bets, which is better for you, because he might bet a worse hand there hoping to win without showdown, in which case you get more money.

Then again he could have you beat, but calling a non AI bet is better than calling an AI bet considering your hand is so vulnerable.

The thing that makes the check call line correct in my mind is the fact that you might induce a 'bluff'.

Turn bet is spew.

You can check, if MP bets, you are beat. If MP checks and button stabs you are likely ahead. If it checks thru, your best and will still be best most of the time when the hands over.
