wondered where you had been. I agree with Fuji, I would hit up a handful of different sites and bonus whore until I got enough to play 2/4.

[/ QUOTE ]

This is the plan after I get into the 1/2 mark. With my current roll I don't even have enough to take full advantage of most of the bonus offers out there. At my current limit, I'm afraid that downtime from withdrawing and the possibilities of playing in a sub-par game would dampen my growth.

[ QUOTE ]
Also Party just had 2 reloads in one month, so I would keep my eye out there, hopefully they continue to be so generous. Have you done the IGM-PAY bonuses yet? Those are very simple, and you can do Empire also, as they are back with Party.

[/ QUOTE ]

Party hates me. The ENTIRE Party network has it out for me I think. My fault really, but they kinda won't let me play at their sites legitemitely. I'm currently looking into "alternative" methods to handle this problem, but for now I'm sticking with non-Party sites. Sigh.

I assume you are going to be posting again?

[/ QUOTE ]

Absolutely. The main reason I posted this here instead of SSSH is to get me back into this forum in particular. Look for me wherever I can argue about petty plays and yell about taking better notes.

[ QUOTE ]
Over what period of time are you trying to do this?

[/ QUOTE ]

Obviously I want to get to 2/4 as quickly as possible, but I don't want to endanger my variance dependant plan by throwing a time limit into the mix. Bad things might ensue.

When i started at stars .5/1 6 max i had 50 BB. in these crippled bankroll cases you have to suspend ur aggression and resort to weak tight (much folding) style until u have 200bb to be aggressive. at least thats how i think.

First this needs to be addressed:

This is not correct. If you don't have enough money to play "your" game comfortably at the limit you are playing, you simply don't play that limit. Playing a weak-tight game simply to conserve your bankroll forces you to pass up too many profitable opportunities, it essentially works against you when trying to build a bankroll.

Alright, now on to the good stuff.

This is a celebratory update, today I made it past the 200BB mark at .5/1, and thus I am rolled for my shot at 1/2.

It's about a week late I think. I had hoped to put enough work in to make it up over the hump by last Sunday, but I got my hands on the first season of 24 which ruined me for a good portion of free time. That plus a futile attempt by Stars to keep me hanging at the +175-185 range made for a belated achievement of my goal.

My stint at Stars was pretty nice. I ran my first 2k hands there at about 6+BB/100 and I was hoping I couls sustain this right on to, you know 5/10$ or so, but alas I could not. I'm just not that good. A terrible run the last few thousand put me at just over 3bb/100. Combined with my HORRIBLE time at Absolute and I ran my first(hopefully last) stint of .50/1 and just under 2BB/100.

For my excursion into 1/2 I'm looking real heavily into a deposit bonus, preferably a decent one. I really want something that is PT (and possibly PA) compatible, but unfortunately I've damn near whored all the decent ones. I took a look and the most readily accessible one was the 500$ match for 15x at Hollywood. They have a decent amount of tables, but I'm not sure if thats particularly where I am going to go right away. Any suggestions at this point would be helpful.

Congrats on moving up. One bonus that's pretty easy to hit is at Golden Riviera. It's just $50, but it clears incredibly quickly at 1/2 6 max. The Cryptos are always worth considering, and going back to Absolute will always be an option, too.

Just a word - I recently did this bonus and while it cleared quickly, I had no response to emails about crediting my bonus - but as soon as I called it was credited immediately. Same deal with cashing out...had to call.
