Default Difference between Dell 2007FP, 2007WFP, 2405FPW for Multitabling

I'm looking to 8-table party, what is the practical difference between these 3 monitors? I.e., can you 8-table on one but not another? Can I 8-table on the 2405FPW w/o resizing?

If anyone could link screenshots if they have any of these monitors, that would be great. Pls indicate whether the table has been re-sized.

Thanks!

D

Unresized tables are each around 800x600 resolution. You should be able to work everything out from that, eg 1600x1200 exactly fits four, in a 2x2 layout.

I have a 2405FPW - It is an awesome monitor.

your options:
2405FPW: 1920x1200
2105FP: 1600x1200
2005FPW: 1680x1050

Without resizing, you can 4 table on either the 2405 or 2001, the 2005FPW does not have enough height to contain 4 tables without overlap. Overlap is minimal though, esp. if you hide the taskbar. With resize, 2x2 on a 2005 isn't a problem, you couldn't tell the tables have shrunk. Generally, the 20" widescreen 2005FPW is a bit of a bad buy, unless you want it for watching movies also, but even in this case, the 2405FPW has a far superior picture quality.

8 tables though and none of these monitors can manage it without resizing significantly - here are some screenshots:

NO RESIZE - a 2001FP can fit up to 4 tables

WITH RESIZE - a 2001FP can fit up to 9 tables
8 tables is no different to 9, there is just a table sized gap

WITH MINIMAL RESIZE - a 2405 comfotably fits 6 tables
This is my usual table setup, 6 is quite enough for me right now

WITH NEAR-MAXIMUM RESIZE - a 2405FPW can take all 12 tables
If you have Empire that is, and are a slave to the MT ratio

Click the pictures for a full view - I didn't want to be the one to make a super-wide unreadable thread

Buy a 2405FPW is my recommendation - or a 3007 if u can find the funds - they are far superior again - see recent thread by IC5 in "Internet Gambling" for many pics of the 30" Dell.

Enjoy,

dave.
