Re: Would you buy a book written by me?
Send me your manuscript when it's done. I've started my own publishing company. I won't actually be publishing any books, I just like rejecting people's life works.

Re: Would you buy a book written by me?
[ QUOTE ]
Its a tough topic Kurosh, thats part of the reason why it has never been attacked successfully. Additionally its a very small market (although I admit this is changing fast) that is interested in learning about shorthanded play. [/ QUOTE ] Just a prognostication based on the last year, but I think now is definitely the time to write a SH LHE book. Heck, full ring seems to be dying online, while SH games actually get better and better. (I'd guesstimate that Party 1/2 FR has dropped fully 10% in table average VPIP over the last 12 months. I'd also guesstimate that there is a barely any drop in the 1/2 SH games. Possibly they got looser.) Flop games really seem to be more enjoyable when SH. |

Re: Would you buy a book written by me?
my general idea for a book would the following:
have a good pro, a decent player and a beginner celebrity each work together and document their experiences.... could have all kind of situations... they could sit side by side on computer and play SNG (not against each other). and document the experience. and the pro could play tons of MTT and SNG and tell us really how to bust these games for just huge win rates and return on investment. i think there is enough stuff out there on shorthanded and eventually to be good it takes good reads. i think people would be right into it... one thing about russell fox' book i love is he goes thru one of his live sessions (271 hands) hand by hand. i think there would be interest in a book on SNG/MTT against mediocre players (lots of callers) and a book with exercises on reading the other players. basically if you want to be elite, you have to get heavily into reading the other players. |

Re: Would you buy a book written by me?
I would buy it for sure if you really put effort into it.
It should be geared only at advanced players. You could then easily sell it for $100, for me it'd would be a definitive buy. |
