How is pot size average calculated? Anyone know? does anyone know how many hands party uses to calculate a tables average pot size, as displayed in the lobby? I asked the entire company because I have a better shot this way. |

The average pot amount is calculated using the average amount of all pots collected in the last 20 hands of the table (ie, total amount of last 20 pots /20 = Average pot amount). Subha PartyPoker Customer Care |

Also, keep in mind that some sites include uncalled bets, which leads to inflated averages when compared to sites that do not include uncalled bets.

I'm going to stop paying so much attention to them then. I usually will wait 15 minutes or so on tables with a high average and by the time I get a seat it's down to "normal" and a few more are way above average.
With only 20 hands the fluctuation would make the average nearly irrelevant. |
