Default Raise river with wheel - paired board?

IMALLIN767 is poster
Was this a bad river raise on a paired board? I felt mt str8 was good but looking back on it, a boat was likely. Even if my hi was no good, I still have the nut low so there was virtually no risk in the raise. Is this corect?

It was a good raise, that 3 counterfeited the sh1t out of him! It was so obvious he had A3 with his bet on the turn.

And it's not likely he had a queen because he checked the flop (unless he wanted to check raise but that is stupid, with that flop no one is going to bet without a queen)

Good raise, good good good!

Considering how doctorflush played
it and the fact that you are HU on
the river makes this an excellent
time to raise the river. If he 3bets
I just call and don't cap.

By the way, your call on the turn was ok ONLY because you had A34, that is , not counterfeitable wheel draw.

Never call if all you have is a naked A3 because with that board you're not going to win the high unless a 4 comes on the river. You're drawing to a 4, 6, 7 or 8 to win HALF the pot max, you'll probably end up winning a QUARTER.

I agree. This pot is too tiny to be drawing to half the pot. However, with the other player there it would make it a little more tricky. You have to figure he has a monster like AQ23 or just going low. This means that a 9 might scoop for you. And say if a jack comes off you might be able to bluff him out. I still would probablly fold as the pot size probablly doesn't justify this.
