What to do when running bad?
When you are having horrible luck consistently, but are playing at a high level. Do you continue to play or do you take a break?
I have been losing consistently over the past 3 1/2 weeks when I am a 75% or higher favorite at the turn and river. Do I take a break? Keep playing? |

Re: What to do when running bad?
Drop down to a lower limit for a while until your downswing ends. If that doesn't work, take a break for a couple days.

Re: What to do when running bad?
Right now I'm considering hitting myself in the face with a frying pan, repeatedly, until I'm rendered unconscious.

Re: What to do when running bad?
I think that poster meant Big Bets. How many Big Bets are you down? Seeing as you play NL, it would commonly be Buy-ins. How many Buy-ins are you down?

Re: What to do when running bad?
Well I usually play limit and often shorthanded, 3/6. I am down 167 BB in the past 3 1/2 weeks. Fun stuff, ehh.

Re: What to do when running bad?
Try a change in games. I donked away the majority of my roll playing Stud-8 and SNGs and was able to snap out of it playing NLHE cash games. I'm not back to where I was before, but I feel much better today than, say, Sunday.
