God damn Frank, easy.

You need to gradually guide people into the idea of folding AK in this spot.

AJ,

Does the button know how to play NL Hold Em well?

If so, I would expect to see AA/KK more often than people seem to think.

Wow, my opinion was quite different. Picture it: button knows that shorty is tilting. He picks up a decent hand (ATo, 99, something like that) and sees shorty push; figuring that he'll win against shorty most of the time, he calls. (Good question: why doesn't he PUSH instead of call to isolate? Probably he's not THAT good, or maybe he doesn't want to risk HIS stack on the hand. Either that or he wants to play poker with position postflop.) When AJ pushes over-the-top he realizes his attempt to get shorty to himself has gone horribly wrong, and he bails out most of the time.

I'd say Button folds here VERY often, though I agree that we're in some trouble when button does call. Still, with $36 in the pot already, we don't need Button folding all that often to have a bonanza.

IMO, if button is a solid player, just calling in this situation is scary.

This is pretty much the reason that my calling range on the button is wider than AA-KK.

Isura,

A solid player will just call in that spot because they are looking for someone like AJ with AK/JJ or something to try and make a squeezearoo play.
