Default Did I play this ok?

$11 Speed SnG on Party. Second level of blinds (30-60 I think), nine players left. Villian is co-chip leader with me, both of us have 3500. Most everyone else is around 1800.

I limp with 88 UTG. Villian makes it 260 to go. Everyone else drops. I call. The flop comes K-Q-4 rainbow. I check, he checks. The turn is an 8. I bet 900 into the 1200 pot. He pushes all-in. Should I call or not?

Easy call on the turn. It might be a preflop fold, I advise you post the whole hand history, and convert it. You will get a lot more responses.

Fold preflop, call in 2 seconds on the turn.

I'm not sure how it got to 1200. But I just remember thats what it was. I think there were a lot of limpers that folded plus the blinds. Maybe he raised more preflop.

I did call really really fast. And no I wasn't worried about an overset until he turned over Pocket Queens for a set of Qs over my set of Eights.

I was really close to folding preflop, because I didn't want to tangle with the other big stack. But I figured if I could hit my set I could bust him.

The other stack had position on you and conceiveably could have made this PF move with nothing. If he has a clue, he'd probably not be in the mood to tangle with you either and instead you could take turns violating the smaller stacks. This would make me less inclined to call the PF raise.

On the turn you're not folding your set. I'd expect to see AK about a bijillion times more often than QQ here. The only thing that might give me pause would be his flop check - very odd at a low buyin that PF aggression isn't followed by aggression on the flop. Still I'd default to AK here and call.
