Re: AKs against tight passive - played right?
Based on your read, I like the flop raise. What would you have done had BB bet out on the turn?

Re: AKs against tight passive - played right?
I'd cap preflop. The hand plays differently from there.
I definitely wouldn't fold to a re-raise on the flop with big cards and a nut flush draw. |

Re: AKs against tight passive - played right?
The flop raise is a free card play, and it worked out great; you got to see the river by only spending 1 BB, and if you just called the flop and then the turn, you would have had to pay 1.5 BB. If you get 3bet, call, since you have the nut FD. Even if he flips up AA, you're getting the pot odds to call the flop and the turn based on your draw.

Bet the turn [/ QUOTE ] Your opponent calling your flop raise and checking the turn suggested that he may not have an overpair. Betting the turn may have won you the pot straightaway, as opposed to chopping on the river. Also as it transpired, betting the turn would have been a freeroll for you with your flush outs, if your opponent had called. You were not to know that at the time, but your opponents passive play made it more likely. |

you should raise here and even cap because you have the nut flush draw, the pot is big and you got 2 overcards [/ QUOTE ] You're saying that Hero should be raising/capping for value? Given his read of Villan, please show your work, including a hand range for Villan. |
