Flopped trips, where do I let go?
Let me preface this by saying that I'm somewhat new to NL ring games, having spent most of my time grinding SNGs. Anyway, how badly did I play this?
Full Tilt Poker No Limit Holdem Ring game Blinds: $0.05/$0.10 9 players Converter Stack sizes: UTG: $10.10 UTG+1: $3.90 MP1: $3.10 MP2: $12.70 MP3: $10.05 CO: $3 Button: $12.60 SB: $8.85 Hero: $10 Pre-flop: (9 players) Hero is BB with 6[img]/images/graemlins/club.gif[/img] K[img]/images/graemlins/heart.gif[/img] 3 folds, MP2 calls, MP3 folds, CO calls, Button calls, SB calls, Hero checks. Flop: K[img]/images/graemlins/diamond.gif[/img] K[img]/images/graemlins/club.gif[/img] 3[img]/images/graemlins/club.gif[/img] ($0.5, 5 players) SB checks, Hero bets $0.5, MP2 calls, CO calls, 2 folds. Turn: Q[img]/images/graemlins/spade.gif[/img] ($2, 3 players) Hero bets $2, MP2 calls, CO raises all-in $2.4, Hero calls, MP2 calls. River: 8[img]/images/graemlins/club.gif[/img] ($9.2, 2 players + 1 all-in - Main pot: $9.2) Hero checks, MP2 bets $5, Hero ??? Now, I'm sure that I'm beat here on the turn after the AI and subsequent call. The river further kills me (either to a flush or better K) so what could I have done differently to save myself money? And is the river an instafold? |

Re: Flopped trips, where do I let go?
after 3 smooth calls then a big river bet there is almost no way that MP2 isnt either full or flushed, this is a pretty easy fold. As for the rest of the hand you played it fine. nh
