Default 5/10 QQ river fold

Villian is 14/4/passive after 70 hands.

Preflop: Hero is MP1 with Q[img]/images/graemlins/diamond.gif[/img], Q[img]/images/graemlins/heart.gif[/img].
<font color="#666666">3 folds</font>, <font color="#CC3333">Hero raises</font>, <font color="#CC3333">MP2 3-bets</font>, <font color="#666666">5 folds</font>, <font color="#CC3333">Hero caps</font>, MP2 calls.

Flop: (9.40 SB) A[img]/images/graemlins/diamond.gif[/img], 9[img]/images/graemlins/spade.gif[/img], 8[img]/images/graemlins/spade.gif[/img] <font color="#0000FF">(2 players)</font>
<font color="#CC3333">Hero bets</font>, MP2 calls.

Turn: (5.70 BB) A[img]/images/graemlins/heart.gif[/img] <font color="#0000FF">(2 players)</font>
<font color="#CC3333">Hero bets</font>, <font color="#CC3333">MP2 raises</font>, Hero calls.

River: (9.70 BB) J[img]/images/graemlins/club.gif[/img] <font color="#0000FF">(2 players)</font>

Final Pot: 9.70 BB

Do you think we can just fold the turn here or is this best?

I think against this opponent, with all of the sampling caveats, that folding to the turn raise is easilly the best choice.

This player, probably likes to play hands from in front, and value bet them when he has a clear lead. The only hand that has a clear lead now, is a pretty good ace. He is probably raising now, because he thinks that if he only calls, you will check the river, and he will win only two big bets.

In fact, against this opponent, I might almost advocate a check/fold on the turn, because I don't think he would bet a worse hand than yours.

If that was over a larger sample I'd just call PF.

I'd fold the turn. I imagine some of the time he'll fold JJ/TT on the flop after your show of strength PF, coupled with the chance this type of player is sophisticated enough to pull a turn raise with a worse hand and I don't think you're getting the right price, especially if you're calling a river bet.

I'd check/fold that river also.

What you are trying to do with your flop and turn bets?
Are you trying to push him off KK or maybe QQ? Or value bet JJ or TT? With his stats JJ and TT are pretty unlikely. I doubt he's folding KK.
I think you want to play this passively because most of the time you are behind and the best hand ain't folding.

against villain's stats, this is an easy turn fold. I would have actually check/fold the turn after he called the flop bet. With his stats, I think he only 3 bets with AA,KK and a strong A, and maybe JJ, so there is very little you are ahead of. And given that you capped pf and led out the flop, I think you can strongly discount the JJ
