Default Total noob, where to start?

Ok, as a veteran Poker whore and know these types of post suck, but I am thankful to anyone who can help,

I am a total sportsbook noob. I have been poker bonus chasing for about 6 months now and have a bankroll of about 8k.

My real problem is that i am having a very hard time learning all the sportsbook information. All the numbers and terms just make my head spin. I have read several online articles and some message board stuff and still dont feel like I understand much of anything. I am the type of guy that could learn most of it quickly if I had a personal teacher for a hour or 2, but I dont know anyone that knows it very well.

I really just want to learn enough to bonus sports whore. The way I understand it is I would bet on the same game at different books trying to break even on the bets to bust the bonus out into the other book.

Soo....HELP! What is the EASYIEST way to learn. Is there a book that give the basics in a very easy to understand format? Any online sites that could help me? Any articles that explain just what I need to know to do the type of betting I am interested in?

Thanx in advanced,
Briton

$8K is really not enough to do sportsbook bonus whoring and poker at the same time. I suggest a minimum of $10K bankroll NOT INCLUDING your existing the money you need for poker and casino bonuses. this money needs to be left in the books all season and cannot be moved in and out like with card games.

(this is assuming you are playing in the USA. there may be some euro/aussie options that are not available to americans).

Thank you for your response.

You got my thinking and I decided to write down all my funds in Neteller and all the poker/casino sites I have funds in. It turns out my bankroll is about 10k. Therefore I am not too far from having enough.

I would still like to get started learning how to make money sportsbook bonus chasing. Any suggestions on where/how I can get myself educated?

Thanx again,
Briton

Get your self a copy of Stanford wongs "sharp sports betting" and check out his site.

Instead of trying to bonus whore learn how to middle the games if you have the bankroll.

I will order that book. I have heard one other person say that book is good. By the way, what is the general concept in trying to find the "middle" of games? What betting type is used when betting the middle? (moneyline, spread, ect)

Sorry these questions are so noobish. I have to start somewhere. Cant wait to read the book.

Thanx again,
Briton
