Anybody fold the river there with AKo? Board was A-6-7-8-4 and you got raised by another player on the turn and on the river the table fish led out. I didn't see how big the pot was but you gotta figure at least 3 BB preflop, 1.5 flop, 6 flop, and then two more on the river, so your call (closing the action) is getting at least 12-1.

Yes, but I'm a big donkey [img]/images/graemlins/laugh.gif[/img] Given how the four-to-the-straight fell, I don't think I'd give him complete credit for a straight, certainly not with 12-to-1 confidence. Only the 45 straight would come on the turn and the river wouldn't add a straight assuming they have 45. I don't think I would fear something like 59 or even 9T.

Isn't 12-1 an auto call everytime. What, you have to be right only 8% of the time. I don't know.

No way I fold the river. There is too much money in the pot--I do not have to be wrong very often for this to be a +EV call.

Neither do I, especially closing the action. The pot is AT LEAST laying me 12-1, probably closer to 15-1. No way I can be THAT certain I'm beat despite the board being atrocious.

Shirls, great to hear from you! Since Dave is doing the commentary on Tuesday now, we would love to get you in that game. Surf can't make it so we have at least 1 seat open.
