Why are live games easier than online? I have seen this written many times, but would think that anyone going out of their way to play at a B&M would be better.

[/ QUOTE ]

Probably because most people are at a casino to gamble. Lots of people are just playing poker instead of blackjack. Also there are people who arent completly retarded but dont have the patience to sit around and only play 3-5 hands an hour. If you have the skill and patience, B&M is free money.

Online games have always been tougher except during periods of rapid expansion. I recall seeing ultra tough 5/10 games back in 2000 on Paradise Poker. I also recall seeing super birdy Pacific 5/10 games when the site first started(similar to live games). Now Pacific 5/10 games play like rockish daytime 5/10 games during a weekday.....

Tourists and people that simply just understand hand rankings aren't going to play online... they will do it 'for fun' and on vacation at the casino.

One of a number of reasons anyway..

I did not go on tilt; if anything i have played tighter during the losing streak.

[/ QUOTE ]

Assuming you're a winning player, any time you change your play from your winning style do to short term results you are tilting.
Some people become weak tight and other become maniacs and dump chips like crazy. The former won't lose his money as fast as the latter, but he may have trouble realizing he is no longer playing optimally.
Try and analyze some of your hands after you finish a session to be sure you are making the best possible decisions.

My local 5/10 plays about like the .05/.10 on Pokerstars... I think 10/20 is comparable to about a 1/2 game online... Start there.
