Multi-tablers, please come to the principal\'s office
Any tips for special strategies to beat on multi-tablers?
(If it matters, I play 1/2 & 2/4 FR & SH and 50 & 100 NL) |

Re: Multi-tablers, please come to the principal\'s office
They come in all shapes and sizes, so no, not really. Multi-tablers can be TAGs, LAGs, calling stations, fish, donks, maniacs, winners, losers, etc. Is there a specific type of player you are referring to?

I was hoping multi-tablers would offer some generalities about how that changes their game (if someone playing 8 tables is less likely to push a small edge; more likely to fold to PF raises; if a multi-tabler is betting strong should I give him more credit for a hand than someone 1-tabling?). That kind of stuff |

Re: Multi-tablers, please come to the principal\'s office
its difficult to say. even though i have lag style, sometimes im 35/17/4.5/100 and 17/8/3/100 at the same time, just on different tables.
sometimes the cards do affect whats going on, sometimes i've blown my image early and have to tone down, so i tell myself to play tight on certain tables. |

Re: Multi-tablers, please come to the principal\'s office
Your question is too general and there's not a magic weak spot among all multi-tablers.
I 8-table 6-max and I'm positive I take more notes and observations than most of the players out there. |

Re: Multi-tablers, please come to the principal\'s office
If I were playing just one table, I'd be more willing to take marginal edges and flow with the game dynamic. I think this sort of thing is hard to pick up on, especially since many multi-tablers may not even take those marginal edges if playing one table. Generally, multi-tablers are slightly tighter, and will have slightly better hands when getting involved in a pot, but I don't think this is anything superfluous to what you would get from your normal reads.
If there's any advantage to press against multi-tablers, it would be watching them on all their tables and picking on them when they have their attention elsewhere. |

Re: Multi-tablers, please come to the principal\'s office
If you're playing a ton of tables at once (I play 8), my best advice is only play poker. No chat apps, don't talk on the phone, etc etc especially when learning how to multi table. It needs all of your attention if you want to extract the most and make the best moves.
