Opinions of the worst acting performances from big stars in big movies?
Mel Gibson in "Ransom": Total over the top acting job, borderline cheesy. Good movie though. Dustin Hoffman in "Outbreak: See explanation above. Keenu Reeves in "The Devil's Advocate." Bad accent (suppose to be North Carolina?), and mediocre to poor acting as usual. He never becomes the character, it's always Keenu "dude....." from Bill and Ted. |

Orlando Bloom in Elizabethtown.
I'm not an expert when it comes to who is a great actor, and when. But you don't have to spend much time watching this movie to know how terrible this guy is. The accent is incredibly poor, and he really doesn't seem genuine for a second in the entire film, and where that may not be a big deal in a lot of movies, it sort of helps in a Cameron Crowe movie. Seeing Almost Famous, and partially expecting that, made this movie even worse. Kirsten Dunst is pretty bad in it too. |

My vote goes to Robin Williams for Jack. One of the worst movies i have ever seen.
[ QUOTE ] Nicolas Cage in any of his movies. [/ QUOTE ] jsut watch Leaving Las Vegas, Matchstick Men or Adaptation. Cage is a weird actor, he either nails the part or flies off the tracks. |

Viggo Mortenson in "A History of Violence"
..as well as everyone else in the movie, too. Afterthought: Maybe he isn't a big star. He was good in Crimson Tide and some other flick, too. |
