Scoop it up, take it home, and eat its brains with some scrambled eggs. Yum.

That is indeed a bad buzz.

Kentucky doctors warn against regional dish: Squirrels' brains

.....In the last four years, 11 cases of a human form of transmissible spongiform encephalopathy, called Creutzfeldt-Jakob disease, have been diagnosed in rural western Kentucky, said Dr. Erick Weisman, clinical director of the Neurobehavioral Institute in Hartford, Ky., where the patients were treated. "All of them were squirrel-brain eaters," Weisman said. Of the 11 patients, at least six have died.

kinda related story...
i hit a deer once and knocked it into the grass median. i was really young and freaked out a bit. a truck pulled off the highway behind me and an older guy got out. the poor thing was all twitching around and obviously in a ton of pain. the guy asked me, if i was going to do anything, dont remember what i stuttered or stammered back to him, but he told me to go ahead and leave. i heard a gunshot as i pulled off and actually felt better about the whole situation. i actually hope the guy kept it and ate it. venison == yummy.

Driving with my girlfriend (vegitarian) and see just this situation in the road ahead of me. I try to hit the squirrel, to put it out of its misery, but miss, and have to reverse to run over it. You could hear it squish underneath the tire.

It felt like the best thing to do, but I dont know if I could do it again.

When I got out of the car, I had to look at the tire, even though I thought I didnt want to.

A friend's dog mandled a squirrel in his back yard a couple years back. It kept trying to drag itself up this one tree using only its front paws as its back legs had been ripped off. So my friend got his BB gun and shot it 4 times in the head. And the thing kept trying to climb. So he got a baseball bat and beat the living [censored] out of it until its eyes were literally stuck to the bat. Be kind. Put it out of its misery.

The first two strikes probably did the trick. After that he was just on sadist vacation.
