Default A8s SB

bunch of monkeys limp. i complete from the sb. bb raises. how many monkeys need to be in the hand for me to call 1 more big blind?

sometimes i muck this (perhaps incorrectly) against 2 others. how low of a suited ace are you willing to call the preflop raise with, closing the action with say 3 others committed to seeing the flop?

If you are getting 7:1 call any suited.

Once you've completed the SB, in general it's a bad idea to fold for just one raise back to you.

I will often fold hands like 89os if say a 50/3/1 raises in BB

Often? This situation hardly ever comes up.

Anyway, that's why I said "in general." I do think there are times when completing and folding to a single raise is okay.

I haven't done it recently, though. The 1/3 and 2/5 structures I've been playing sort of discourage that. If my hand's good enough to complete, it's almost always good enough to call a raise with if the BB bumps it up.

Often in that situation! Everything is 1/2 blind structure so I can get in with quite a few hands.
