Default Going to Biloxi and New Orleans this weekend...

Going this weekend and just wondering what limits they were spreading down there. I did a search but didn't get much on cash game limits, just that they were running a few weekly tourneys. Thanks.

The Imperial Palace is the only poker room open in Biloxi. They have 3-6,4-8, 2-5 NL, 5-10 NL, and occasionally 2-5 or 5-10 PLO on Friday/Saturday. They sometimes get 10-20 or 15-30 going but the game usually doesn't last long. Harrahs in NOLA has 1-4-8-8 HE/Omaha, 3-6, 6-12, 1-2 NL, 2-5 NL, 5-10-15 NL in the evenings, 15-30 Omaha High on Friday, usually 10-20 HE on Friday night and you might get a 15-30 HE on Friday or Saturday nights.

I stopped by Biloxi about 2 weeks ago and there was another casino right on the water that had its poker room open. However, I can't even remember the name of the casino and only briefly poked my head in so I don't know what games were playing.

We did play at Harrah's NO for a bit. Is it normal to have a $5 rake and $1 jackpot drop? Maybe I've been lucky the places I usually play are $4 and no BBJ.

Imperial Palace is on the water but on the back bay, not the gulf. I am not sure what other casino is open in Biloxi right now, but I'll definitely check it out. As far as $5 rake + $1 BBJ, that has always been the rake at Harrahs, but it is by far the highest rake at any casino I have played at. Unfortunately, they are the only option for bigger games right now.

The riverboats outside of Chicago also have a high rake like this - $5+$1 for limit (Majestic Star, and 5-10 at Resorts) and timed - I believe $7/half-hour for NL

The Imperial palace has 4-8 and on the weekends they spread 10-20, and rarely 20-40. They get 10-20 15-30 omaha games on some weekends. They spread 1-2 NL 300 max, and 2-5 NL (dunno the max buy-in there) 500 i think. NL games have a 6$ hourly rake. Limit games drop 5max and 1 for BBJ.

The Isle of Capri is also open but they usually only have 4-8, rake is the same as the IP.

Is Harrah's not spreading 4/8 Omaha Hi? They used to always have that. I haven't paid attention, because the 1/2 NLHE game is so juicy. If you play limit, I would play the 10/20 over the 6/12. The 6/12 is all regulars who play it all the time. The 1-4-8-8 HE/O is the same. These people aren't good, but they aren't the tourists that you can find at the NLHE games.

Redfisher: They spreading a 4/8 half and half. I haven't seen/heard of a 4/8 omaha hi only game yet. I've only been going in the last two weeks though.

I am sure this is what you meant, but I think the rake on NL at the IP is $6 every 1/2 hour. What days and times do they usually have the mid limit Holdem/Omaha games? I am so sick of playing NL that I am willing to drive to Biloxi to play 20-40.
