Worst Songs Of All Time
(Has this been covered already ?) CNN run a poll for the Worst Song Of All Time recently, with the usual suspects appearing. However, some of the entries are not that bad --- IMO Example: "I'm too sexy" by Right Said Fred I like! It's both amusing and good.
But with Lionel Ritchie, how can you fail? Here's what one voter said: [ QUOTE ] "Say You, Say Me", Lionel Richie (1985): "I checked, and that song really did win an Oscar. Martin Scorsese doesn't have an Oscar, but Lionel Richie does." [/ QUOTE ] Here is the Top 5 count-down, as voted by CNN readers (and their highest chart position): 5. "Seasons in the Sun", Terry Jacks (No. 1 for three weeks, 1974). 4. "I've Never Been to Me", Charlene (No. 3, 1982). 3. "You Light Up My Life", Debby Boone (No. 1 for 10 weeks, 1977). 2. "Muskrat Love", The Captain and Tennille (No. 4, 1976). 1. "(You're) Having My Baby", Paul Anka (No. 1 for three weeks, 1974). This choice for worst record was not even close. Re: Worst Songs Of All Time
The mere sight of the title, "We Built This City", horrifies me and reminds me how the inescability of it came close to ruining the year 1985.
There was never a song more revolting before or since. |

Re: Worst Songs Of All Time
How can MacArthur Park not be in the top 5 worst songs of all time?
Personally, I rank it first. |
