Thats not really the issue. You dont want the other players to see you as a person that actually thinks about the game. Most arent going to come here, some will and will never take heed of the advice and a very small percentage will actually become good. But you dont want people to realize you are a thinking player. Let them come to that conclusion on their own.

This is the bigger problem. The threat of fish deciding to educate themselves will never be a big problem. But driving them away is.

When I find someone berating a fish I try to retrack him. My most effective lines: "The way you two flirt is just embarrassing" or "Are you trying to pick him up?" That usually draws fire to me, I make a few more completely inane remarks, and voila, nit forgets he was insulting someone else.

I will have to use that. I had a similiar problem yesterday playing against a fish( he has donated a lot). Some a@# starts telling him how horrible he is,wtf....

you guys that freakout about mentioning 2p2 make me laugh. first off, most of the posters in ssnl are not very good. secondly, its freakin small stakes. the vast majority of players are trying to have fun, not take time to learn the game. if every regular poster in small stakes mentioned 2p2 everynow and then it wouldnt effect the softness of the games one bit.

Someone better get over to the books forum quick and put off some posters called Ed Miller and David Sklanskey as they are planning on releasing a NL book, its even going to have the link to the two plus two site printed on it.

I suspect this will have more impact on the games than 4 other players seeing two people talk about forums.

This place is huge nowadays its not really that much of a secret club that the elite few have heard of.
