I don't get why these athletes can't avoid a few simple things:

dont get in fights
dont rape anyone
dont do drugs (at least dont get caught)
dont get a dui

and if you can abide by those (and probably even if you cant) you get to play a game for millions of dollars

[/ QUOTE ]

Because a lot of these guys are dumb as bricks. They should just should just dump this guy in a river.

Well, that sucks.
They can just cut him and not have to worry about him counting towards the salary cap right?

[/ QUOTE ]

99% of NFL contracts are not guaranteed money (unlike the NBA). NFL teams can generally cut anybody at anytime and not have to pay them or have the contract count towards the cap.

[/ QUOTE ]

The deal includes about $7.5 million in guaranteed money in the first year of the contract, agent Jim Ivler said.

Im sure there is some sort of conduct clause but all they probably will care about is if they can delay his trial and conviction until after the season.

Probably some kid studying for his finals or something. When I was in college, I could be seen at my favorite breakfast place at 3 AM with a laptop the night before some of my finals.

This dude sounds like a total [censored].
