Default What is with the mods?

I made a post asking about the Party poker sunday tourney. There were not ANY posts talking about this on the main page. I get a smart ass comment about asking aboout it and no help as to where I could find the threads on it. I am not sure why if your name is in green u feel the need to be rude. From now on maybe try and help someone out instead of locking thier post so no one can inform them what is going on, thanks mods!

FWIW, there was 3 threads in 10 mins about the party $500K. We locked the second two.

I understand that...they were not on the first page hey were on the second page where I did not see them. Maybe steering me to the link without a smart comment could have been a little more appropriate?

Awwww, you poor thing.

Maybe you should edit your settings so you don't see just 10 posts on the first page.

Or maybe you should click page 2.

You mean this one? Or perhaps this one? Noise in the forum is one of our greatest challenges and repetitive posts like the one you made, when compounded by other similar types of posts just make things more difficult for others to find worthwhile posts.

Or maybe we shouldn't randomly act like jerks to unknown posters.

Most of y'all don't know who Loser is in real life, but I'd sooner back him in a MTT than almost anyone on this board.

While I agree it may have been slightly terse a response I don't think it was anything too too bad. Mostly frustration probably, our goal isnt to alienate folks hopefully you understand that OP.

EDIT: Ok I'll stop being a dick.

But come on look at what Lloyd wrote. There was nothing rude about it:

shane is just trying to say that being overtly mean to posters because they arent 'usual' in a forum isnt a good thing because you very well could be alienating a great asset and terriffic player. I agree whole-heartedly, however, I agree with Lloyd's frustration because I locked a $500K thread because about 4 of them showed up VERY quickly and overall dont think he was very rude.
