Hrmm... I guess not a Ferrari in Paris...

Making of the Film

This example of a cinéma vérité film was made in a single take with no editing, using a camera attached to the bumper of Mercedes. The length of the film thus was limited by the capacity of the camera reel, to under 10 minutes. He later dubbed over the sound of a Ferrari 275GTB to give the impression of much higher speeds.

The Car and the Driver

According to comments from Lelouch, including an interview, he was the driver. The vehicle that carried the camera was a 6.9L Mercedes-Benz 450SEL 6.9, with automatic transmission and a top speed of 230 km/h.

Only 230 km/h...the guy in the video above with the F-40 probably does that on his daily commute.

Here's another one, a Porsche 911 turbo in Stockholm. I don't know how real it is.

The really cool thing about the video, is it's so old it has some historical value. Like I love the outfit of the lady w/ the tiny dog up on the sidewalk. Also, there is so much soot on everything, things seem cleaner now. I also like that it's a recognizable route, parts of which have been gone over by most anyone who's ever been to Paris.

All that being said, that is a [censored] up egocentric lives endangering thing to do.
