Looks OK to me. I'd be willing to reraise here, but only with a pretty good read.

Yes. I would flat-call. You have a strong drawing hand that could win a big pot, but in my mind not a re-raising hand. Why put yourself in a pre-flop situation where you may have to commit a significant chunk of your stack when you have, essentially, nothing and enough ammunition and time to work your edges during the rest of the tournament? You also have position post-flop. Your read of this guy is vitally important before you even consider playing back at him preflop. He may have a pretty wide range with his smallish stack, but he's not in a desperate situation yet.

Yeah, your call is fine because you are in position after the flop and your hand isn't a monster.

Meh, it's not terrible. The 4xBB raise worries me-- I see people make it when they have a semi strong hand and don't want action. (think 99-JJ, AK)
I tend to reraise or fold preflop, myself, but only because I like to spare myself tough decisions. If he has a mid pair I want to put the heat back on him (and make sure I get to see the race all the way through). If he has QQ+ or AK, whoops, nh (and this is part of the reason you can argue fold PF, because strictly speaking you're almost never ahead here). None of the plays are particularly good or bad. I think reraising PF gives you the best chance to win the pot but with the highest variance attached to it. |
