Default Re: Does Party even need a VIP program?

I assume he is referring to the fact that Party's last major upgrade made it so you can no longer receive observed hand histories. This makes it impossible to data-mine tables as an observer and get information about tables before you join them. I was just mentioning that it is not as impossible to still do as it may seem. Sorry for the hijack... As for the OP, you are probably right in that they don't necessarily need one, but assuming my VIP offer isn't too terrible I am glad they do. Also, gotta agree with augie, they are probably making money off of it.

The last week of the accelerator promo I paid $1847 in rake. This week I paid $247 in rake. I think party got pretty good value for the $265 bonus they gave me.

They seem to be doing just fine either way.

Business isn't about being "fine." The question is whether the VIP program is +EV. And it is.

You'd think with WSEX creating a buzz, Party woulds be offering generous bonuses to VIPs and others by now, just to stop people from trying it out. But no.

Ever since that mind numbing Acceler-8-tor finished, there's been no drop off in players as far as I can tell. Does Party even need a VIP program? They seem to be doing just fine either way.

Well... I dont play much at party anymore. I would say 10% of my play is there. If there was a VIP offer now i estimate the 90% of my play would be there.

I plan to play somewhere else very soon if they do not get a decent bonus going. I think theres prob others who feel the same way.

[/ QUOTE ]

I play on playing elsewhere IF they don't offer a bonus that doesn't force me to play 21,000 hands/wk just to hit the minimum.

[/ QUOTE ]

I actually hope they give me a crazy arse bonus. Say, play 30,000 hands a week and get a free $2,000 or something. I played 20,103 hands this last week And it's only cause of my "challenge." So I need the "incentive."

RB + the A8 on PP came out to over 55% RB which wasn't bad. I just feel like I'm waisting my time playing there without any bonuses since I can get close to 50% RB on sites that are just as fishy. You hear that Party COME OUT WITH A DECENT BONUS SOON OR I'M MOVING. And the VIP program still sux donkey balls for NL players.

How do you know that the next promotion is going to be bad for NL players? Didnt they just change how players are awarded points. Im not trying to stick up for Party or say that it wont be a bad offer but at least wait until it comes out to start bashing the offers.

It hardly changed at all, and didn't change at all for anyone playing NL100 or lower...still causing us to pay just as much rake, and in some cases more rake than limit players who get awarded more pts. So in other words, still bad.
