I was just dealt rolled up kings in a razz game and it got me thinking, is that the worst starting hand you could be dealt in any game? I couldn't think of anything worse ( ignoring dead cards in stud) Although even then I would think this is the worst, since you can't even hope to luck into a solid hand, K high is the best you could do.

I can't think of any hand worse then that in poker. Quad 2s in Omaha is the only other hand that I can think of that is almost as bad. That's nowhere near as bad as rolled up Ks in razz though...

The only worse thing I can think of is in a home game we sometimes play. It is a 7c stud game where you are automatically out if you get dealt a red seven. (I don't know why - I sure didn't make it up!) In this case you are out with no chance to win - not even a bluff. Although it would be ill-advised, you could potentially win with the kings on a bluff.
But we should remember the best thing about bad starting hands - you fold them and lose nothing more. From that perspective getting the kings may actually be better than getting say rolled up sixes. Could you walk away from them without at least an attempt or a bluff? |

Getting dealt a royal flush in lowball would be awful.

2 of clubs in one-card poker or any variant like indian poker. actually in indian poker it would be a guaranteed loss and since the card is on your forehead you wouldn't even know it and could end up losing a lot of money if your oppenent has a fairly low card.
