You can pot control the turn by checking. There are alot of draws but if villan will CR allin with a draw checking saves you from having a tough decision like this one and you wont pay off a 9.

Also, isn't this a very standard turn check?

It certainly screams draw to me. It would take a very sly player to push all in w/a full house right there. Very tough spot, and the odd part is that his gross overbet is really the reason you want to call! As I said, if he's a skilled player and had a house, and thought he could represent a draw by making that move... well good for him, I think you deserve to pay him off. Only way I don't call, if he's an uber tight rock who I've seen make no out of line moves.

why do you think this is a standard turn check? If someone wants to push a draw on me That's fine, but I don't want to give them free cards right?
I really don't have a read on him as I was playin 8 tables and he wasnt a regular or a player id seen before. |

Absolutely right ender... you cannot give a free card on the turn. That would be a horrific error. If you think you have the best hand, and you got the guy on a draw (which is so very likely in this case) you must bet.

Also, isn't this a very standard turn check? [/ QUOTE ] I think this would be a very weak turn check. If you are very unsure of the right move when he checkraises you, you can start considering it. |

Draw heavy board and you want to give a free one with TPTK against an unknown who limp/called UTG? Bet turn as you did and call the AI like you did, love your line, dunno what everyone else's arguments for checking turn are.
