Did you all notice the sound effect at the begining of this episode? Right before the tournament started, there's a long shot of the audience from the ceiling cam as the crowd is just sitting there. Mike announces the tournament is about to start and they dubbed in an "audience clapping" sound. Weird.

I like Licastro's play on the first hand heads up where he open pushes for 2.5M with QJo. Pure genius.

and compared to other Wpt events both had decent chips in relation to the blinds if i remember right. too bad tony didnt want to play any poker. would have been good poker(by WPT standards) w gazes or cunninham there instead of that mattress guy.

Schulman was very refreshing. Great poise and class.

It was a great change of pace from all the high-fiving goofballs.

This was the only way he had a chance. Everytime he made a small raise it was so transparent that he did not have a hand. That J3o hand vs Gazes AKo it looked like he folded getting 3-1 on his money.

Schulman impressed me tremendously, maybe as much as any young player since i first saw Ivey beat Slim for bracelet #1. Class act, and obvo very skeeled w/a strong table prescence. Be interesting to see if he can keep it going, like Ivey & Grinder have.

Tony was a bit dbaggish, but he was prolly just overexcited about winning $1KK by finding the lotto ticket lying on the floor. Feaked out by the lights, cameras, shrieking wifey & friends and all. Understandable.

BillyG seemed very uncomfortable to me from the beginning. Reminded me of the '97 WSOP where TJ was just thrown off completly by the nutcase amateur while trying to get headup w/the other pro. I actually agree w/Tony pushing w/KT. Triple up or get up. He was very shortstacked, after being equal w/Billy the previous segment, as is the WPT's modus.

As for the WPT being "known for long, deepstacked FT's with lots of postflop action", LOL.

Is that what VVP meant by all the spongebob comments? Just that he is young. Maybe mention it once and leave it alone but he must have said it four times total. "the spongebob kid"? Ewww
