Friends is gay. Seinfeld is great. the two should not be compared. CYE is also great, and i will have to ponder a little longer as to whether i like it better than Seinfeld.

There was a CYE episode where Larry David calls up some guy to give a recommendation for guy who used to work on Seinfeld. When he tells the guy that he is the co-creator of Seinfeld, the guys says, "Not a fan, never watched the show". Larry David does not respond well to this.
Some people don't like Seinfeld because the characters are not likable, but they don't realize that is the reason the show is so good. There are other people who just will not admit to liking anything that is popular, no matter how good it is because it confirms their self-image of being out of the mainstream.

I've watched a few Seinfeld episodes, found them entertaining but wouldn't consider myself a fan or say "I like Seinfeld". If it's on I always flip past it to something else.
