Re: hypothetical questoin arising tonight. your play. (homosexuality)
Buck,
I pick the gay guy first. That way, if I lose, I can say "eh, whatever, we had the feg on our team." I mean, just imagine having the gay on the other team and then losing, you would be the laughingstock of hell. |

Roll a die and pick the people at random.
Why else would it matter? |

I feel dumb for having read this. Honestly, a person's sexual preference would affect their ability to play ball?
Though it is somewhat embarrassing having the gay guy on the other team block your shot to the other side of the court, but when hes 6'6 its not so bad. |

Also, if you pick the gay guy and he turns out to be very effeminate then you just instruct him to put the opposition players off their game by making them uncomfortable. |

on the boy scout edition of Penn and Teller's B*llsh*t, they put 3 gay guys against 3 straight guys in scouting competitions, and the gay guys killed it.

[ QUOTE ] [ QUOTE ] [ QUOTE ] Here is a different, and perhaps better, question.... Who the hell plays a game of basketball to 20 points? [/ QUOTE ] i usually do. we don't play street ball rules. 2 points a shot baby. [/ QUOTE ] Thats so dumb. Play to ten and go by ones just like everyone else. Having to take off your shoes to keep track of the score is a pain in the ass [/ QUOTE ] i think the other way is dumb myself. why change the rules all of a sudden just because you're playing in your driveway, or whatever.. it does change the game slightly, makes the 3 point shot 100% more points instead of 50% more [/ QUOTE ] There have been no three point shots in any game of pickup basketball I have ever played. I think the pickup standard is play to 10, each basket counts as one point. Although I suppose this could be a regional thing. |

This is just stupid. Orientation has no correlation to altheticism. At least not that I've ever seen, though sample size is an issue I suppose.
Now, if you'd said "computer programmers" vs "construction workers" or something similar you'd have some implications. By the nature of their jobs alone, construction workers are likely to be more fit. |

Re: hypothetical questoin arising tonight. your play. (homosexuality)
Buck,
I presume this game is set up with either the devil or some sort of James Bond villain or other such criminal mastermind with a flair for the dramatic. Given this, you need to evaluate how much of a chance there is that he is setting you up and making the gay guy some basketball pro or something. Like, you don't pick him, and then BAM, it's Michael Jordan. WTF is this, you say!?!?! And then MJ's like, yeah, sorry man, big secret. Of course, maybe there's some reverse logic in play and he actually expects you to pick the gay. The more I think about this scenario, the more I realize what a fascinating scenario this is. I still lean towards picking the gay straight off the bat for pride/smacktalking reasons, but this is definitely going to be influenced by how wily the villain is. |
