Giving up the internet
I feel like I've become addicted to the internet and I waste so much time it makes me sick. Between work and home I probably spend at least 12 hours a day online, and my life has been deteriorating as a result. I never get excercise so I'm starting to get fat. I don't think I really enjoy being online, but I also don't get bored enough to get motivated to leave the house or do anything.
So since I apparently suck at online poker too much to ever make more than 10 dollars an hour, I'm going to give up using the internet at home in an attempt to reintroduce balance and variety into my life. I have no choice but to use it at work (I am a web programmer), but starting tomorrow I'm going to try to go the next week without going online at home and see how things improve.

Exact same for me too! I'm giving it up for a bit, with the excception of porn and downloading tv shows I don't get, or if I need to use it to check look for specific information.

[/ QUOTE ] That wouldn't work for me, I would plan to go on for a minute and end up sitting there all night. It's just my personality, I have to give stuff up 100% or not at all.

For me its mainly forums and IM that I want to cut out. I hardly do much random surfing.
