Its great you've heard of all these bands, but they are definitely not what the OP is looking for. The Kenny Chesney et al recommendations were much more on point. |

OOT, Let me preface this by saying that I don't really like country. You could say I hate it. That said, I love Rascal Flatts. (A lot of people who are into country don't even consider it a real part of the genre.) They are easily my favorite band right now, and would like to know if anyone here knows of anything else that they are similar to or other pop-country types that I might enjoy. P.S. I know that many here are into Indie-rock and I enjoy some of that, so I don't need a bunch of those reccomendations, or people saying "country sucks." Thanks in advance. [/ QUOTE ] I'm in the same situation almost. I'm from the north, moved south. Used to say I hated country ("She thinks my tractor's sexy? Come now.") Now I can't get away from it. Eh, it grows on ya. Anywho, some recommendations that I've recently enjoyed. May be what you're looking for, maybe not. Dierks Bentley - Settle for a Slowdown. Great video too Lonestar - I'm Already There Brooks and Dunn - I Believe Anything by Miranda Lambert Keith Urban Best place to go to find some popular country: southern karaoke bar. No kidding. You may also like Tim McGraw, Trace Adkins (doubtful, but possible), Brad Paisley. |
